Progress on Harley has slowed to a snail's pace as life has taken its stand in front of all else as it usually does. Harley is in the process of getting a new smile. His other one was all wrinkled from a previous fender bender and while they did a decent attempt at patching him up, it was beyond repair for a second time. Nick has the new front clip clamped in and is in the process of trying to line up everything correctly. This is one of the things that takes a while to get it right. You can't just cut off the front clip and weld a new one on without some fitting and double checking along the way. Well maybe you can if you do this everyday and really enjoy body work. Nick does not and is finding it tedious but he will get through it. He has done it before. He just enjoys the mechanical aspects more than body work.
Harley will be using Norbert's hood because Harley's hood was cracked and had been bondo'd over to repair it the first time. Norbert's hood was near perfect. Harley will also be using Norbert's deck lid as well. My living room has become a parts storage room for all the parts we have ordered for the reassembly. Once the front nose is perfect and welded in place, we will be ready to prime and paint the body.
