Finally, progress! Nick finally got the front clip to line up
with some help from a friend. Nick had to just take a break from the whole thing
for about 30 minutes. He came back and within 5 minutes he had it lined up. He
had been fighting with this for about a week. We were beginning to wonder if it
was time to throw the towel in because we were losing valuable time. We knew if
we didn't get the shell primered within the next week we would be way behind
schedule.

So after the clip was welded in place, we started doing the final sanding and scuffing for the primer. With the two of us working on it, we were ready within a day. Today, our friend the body man came over and sprayed the primer on for us after an inspection of our work. Now we will wait for the primer to dry and then we will be on to wet sanding. It feels good to see the Dub starting to look better than when we started.
We did find a couple interesting items while we were working on the body. A radio block off plate was inside the body up front, a butter knife, and a strange looking old 60's era tool. I'll take some pictures of the tool and post them on the next update.
