Harley's engine was put back in the chasis and then we lifted the body and put it back on the chasis. It is starting to look like a complete car again. On May 2nd, we added a new addition to our collection and it appears that the new addition is going to go in place of Harley to the Michigan Vintage Volkswagen Festival.

We are now the very proud owners of a 1957 Oval Window Beetle that is very much original. We have named the Oval window, Ralph, after Nick's uncle who loved old cars. Ralph came from Martha's Vineyard. Ralph spent about 35 years in a barn on the Vineyard and was used on family vacations on the island. He still has his original paint, interior and engine (1,000 miles on the rebuild).

We haven't forgotten about Harley and will finish him when we return from our trip to Michigan.
