Northern Wisconsin Volkswagen Club's August Volkswagen Show
Volunteer Sign Up


As many of you know, our biggest club event of the year is our August Volkswagen Show and Swap Meet in Appleton at Van Dyn Hoven Imports. The show requires a number of volunteers to insure it runs smoothly. I have a list of jobs that we need club members' help with the day of the show. Please let me know if you are available to help and what your preferred time to work would be. Work times will be shortened depending on how many volunteers sign up.

Please check the boxes of the job that you would like to volunteer for. Sign up for more than one if you wish. A confirmed schedule with your confirmed work times will be sent a few weeks prior to the show. If you have questions/concerns about what the job entails, please contact Sherri to discuss.

        JOB DESCRIPTION                                    TIME(S)

    Put out signs, set up tents and club booth    7 to 8:30 am
        (setting up for the show in the morning)

    Registration set up and registration                8 am to 12 N
        (helping participants register)

    Show car parking and directing                  8:30 am to 12 N
        (helping participants get parked for the show and directing traffic in the lot)

    Manning club booth                                 9 am to 2 pm
        (answering questions about the club and signing up new members.)      

    Announcements/PA  System                     5 to 6 times throughout day
        (Provide a PA system and/or make announcements for door prizes, thank you(s), etc.)

    Count Votes                                            11 am to 12 N or 12 N to 1 pm
        (counting votes for each class and tallying up for a first and second place)

    Coloring Contest                                        9 am to 1 pm
        (oversee the coloring contest and post the pictures on a board. Announce the winners)

    Awards Ceremony                                   2 pm to 3 pm
        (Announce winners or help hand out trophies)

    Clean up and dismantling tent/club booth    3 pm to 4 pm
        (picking up trash and taking down tents, etc.)

    Miscellaneous                                            Be available by radio throughout day
        (be available to run errands, if needed)

Depending on number of volunteers, we will break shifts into 1 hour segments.
