NORTHERN WISCONSIN VOLKSWAGEN CLUB'S

FIX-IT DAY
Saturday, April 10, 2004

Keith and Jenny Wiegmann (Oshkosh) were our  hosts.

Thanks to everyone who helped make the Fix-It Day happen.

These are the items we tackled:

Change Heads on a 40 HP engine

Valve Adjustment

Spring Tune Up

Clean Windows

Featured Project for the day was:
_______PIN STRIPING______

Just want to thank all those that came for Fix-It-Day. We had a group of about 35 people plus or minus. It was hard to count with all the movement! Nicholas T's motor is now a long block. Ken's EMPI shifter now has new life. Sherri's Hubert is tuned and ready for a season of cruising. Dale Rude's, valves are now clicking along at the proper setting. A lot of information changed hands
on keeping our aging but interesting cars on the road. Quite a few new faces appeared during the day.
Hey John, Can I get a rain-check on the window washing --- you missed the Thing!
Thanks again for a great day!
The Wiegmann family :)

Thanks a bunch for hosting Fix-It-Day! I learned a lot. I enjoyed helping and learning along with Nicholas. I even enjoyed the brownies, as always (so did Josh!)
Beth

Just a BIG THANK YOU to the entire Wiegmann family for all you did to make the Fix It Day the success it was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only problem I have now is getting that silly grin off Erik's face due to the fun he had and then the famous ride in Nicholas' Ghia. Thank you Nicholas from both of us.
We had a great time. Hope to see you all soon.
Happy motoring, Dale and Erik

Howard explains how to do a tune up. The club helped change a coupler that was in a tight spot on this  Jeep type kit car.
Many of us learned how to pinstripe thanks to Jenny. Even the kids got to try their hand at pinstriping. As promised, John cleaned windows! Thanks John.

Thanks go to Jenny, Nicholas, Jack, Dale R., and Sherri for providing the projects/VWs  for the day, too. Thanks to everyone who helped with the projects including a couple extra projects that were added at the last minute.  Thank you to Howard, Sr. for making parts runs.

Club members were on hand throughout the day to help. They shared their knowledge, strength, words of wisdom and generally looking over your shoulder. Thanks to Jenny for doughnuts and lunch. Joyce and Sherri pitched in for lunch, also.
