| Capital City VW Club - We mourn the loss of their founding member and friend to many of us, Kathy Staubli on Sunday 12/18/2005. Here is her obituary from www.Madison.com.
Staubli, Kathleen Ann MADISON - Kathleen Ann Staubli, age 39, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center after a lengthy illness. Kathleen was born on Feb. 1966, in Madison, the daughter of Joseph and Rita Staubli. Kathy graduated from Madison East High in 1984, where she graduated third in her class. She enjoyed math and science and was artistically gifted with her hands and did crafts of all kinds. She also played in the band, volleyball and soccer. Later she enjoyed playing guitar and watching old movies. She founded the Capitol City VW Club. She loved her VW "Katybug" and family. Survivors include her parents, Joseph (Rita) Staubli of Madison; and three siblings, Randy and Marcia of Cambridge, Renee and Matt Wilfong of Madison, and Vicky and Jeff Porter of DeForest. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles all in the Madison area. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the ST. PETER'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Roger Nilles will celebrate. A visitation will also take place at the church from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services. A special thank you would like to be extended to the staff at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, Father Roger Nilles and Judy Stopler for their prayers and care of Kathleen. Memorials have been established in her memory to the St. Peter's Catholic Church, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, WI 53704; or to the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, WI 53711. Kathy was a very beautiful, loving daughter. She will be missed by friends and family.
