NWVC CAMPOUT AND PICNIC
South Park and Howard's VW Farm, Oshkosh
June 21 & 22, 2003

A quick report on our picnic! With people and cars coming and going I counted
35 people in attendance and 14 VW's! A great turnout. Thank you all for coming
it was great seeing you. Kids (I use that term loosely!) had a great time with
water balloons and splash balls! And the brownies all disappeared! 9 went on
the cruise to Fond du Lac where we got a picture from the top of the
lighthouse of the VW's lined up and then on to Gille's for ice cream and met
up with a couple more members. I hope my pictures turn out for the scrapbook!
Nicholas T had his digital camera so maybe they can get posted at some time.
The party continued at Howard's where Sarah made a delicious feast for all!!
Special thank you to Sarah and all the Rorrer family for all the work they did
preparing the camping site. I know they spent many hours preparing for this
weekend. And thank you to the "bus people" for always making a great turnout!!

I'll let Howard report on the camping activities! Hope you all had a great
weekend!

Hi All,
like Jenny said we had a real good event. We didn't have a lot of overnight campers but had a lot people around the campfire. No bug-insect problems with Jesse on the smoke machine. There were a few adults swimming and most of the young ones in the pond. Would also like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Turoski (Nickolas's parents) for the funnel cake they brought . We had a good 45 to 50 mile scenic cruise, a good pit stop, a great social visit around the camp fire and great weather for the campout. Hope we have more members and friends at our next event.

Me and my family had a great time at the picnic, thank you for having it and being such good people. My wife had a great time and my daughter said "It was the bestist time ever in my life". Those that do not come to these events don't know what your missing. Can't wait til the next one.

Thanx Howard for the hospitality and I will pass on your gratitude to my
folks.
To the Club:
Thank YOU for making it happen. It is good to be part of a club where
members are willing to share their expirience to better the VW's we have on
the road, and go slow for those of us who are slow to begin with.
Nicholas
